Coeur d’Alene Casino Donates $30,000 to Local Charities and Deserving Individuals
WORLEY, Idaho (Jan. 26, 2021) – Coeur d’Alene Casino, in partnership with 93.7 The Mountain, pledged to donate $20,000 to individuals and non-profit organizations as part of the annual Winter Blessing event that happens each December. Recognizing the great need in light of the pandemic, Coeur d’Alene Casino increased the donation to $30,000, awarding 20 area non-profit organizations $1,000 each instead of 10.
“Like so many other events and celebrations that were affected last year, we made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person performance portion of Winter Blessing but committed to continuing our Coeur Connections mission by keeping the charity component. We recognize that so many in our community are struggling and so we doubled our donation to local charities in order to help twice as many organizations that applied for the Winter Blessing Charity Giveaway,” said Yvette Matt, Director of Marketing at Coeur d‘Alene Casino.
“Giving is a part of our culture and represents our Coeur Values. We’ve long used the slogan, ‘Winning is Just the Beginning’ at the Coeur d’Alene Casino, but the slogan reflects much more than gambling. It reflects a deeply cultural commitment to share our own wealth, making winners of deserving individuals and charitable causes throughout the region.”
